Juan S. González is a resident fellow at the Georgetown Americas Institute. He is a former senior U.S. official who served as special assistant to the president and senior director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council during the Biden-Harris administration. He previously held senior roles at the U.S. State Department and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
