Menahem Merhavy is a research fellow at the Harry S. Truman Institute at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a lecturer at Shalem College. He holds a doctorate in Middle Eastern studies and was a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. A historian of modern Iran, he is the author of National Symbols in Modern Iran: Identity, Ethnicity, and Collective Memory (Syracuse University Press, 2019).
