Mariana Mazzucato
Mariana Mazzucato is a professor in the economics of innovation and public value at University College London (UCL), where she is the founding director of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose. She is the author of Mission Economy: A Moonshot Guide to Changing Capitalism and the forthcoming The Common Good Economy: A New Compass. She served as a special advisor to President Cyril Ramaphosa for South Africa’s G-20 presidency and advises governments, including Brazil and Spain, on mission-oriented industrial strategy.
